Within the serene countryside of Cabot, Vermont, the Zutano Corporate offices are abuzz with excitement and innovation. This children's apparel company, situated in the vintage farmhouse Uli and Michael Belenkly call their own is situated on some of the most organic earth found today. The Start Of Something New

Zutano started in 1989 when Uli and Michael were inspired, by the birth of their first daughter, to create clothing that was neither pink nor blue but which broke out of the traditional mold. They realized that even thought they were in New York City with all the new and wonderful places to shop for baby clothing, there was nothing on the market that was suitable for any baby to be personally styled and fitted. Uli decided to go out and change all of this with a sewing machine and creative artistic talent. Amazingly, the first clothing prototypes were created and Michael delivered them to the local shops and boutiques on a bicycle.

Love Of Babies

Zutano was born with a love of babies and a general idea that each child should be able to be expressive and unique in their style just as the parents are. From the meager beginnings in their Greenwich Village apartment to the Vermont farmhouse they still use to this day, the Belenkys have not only given their children a beautiful and serene place to grow, they have also allowed to do the same for their business. They have grown to have a reputation for being the leader in the specialty clothing market. Because of their ability to create their own different style in each product line they offer, they can give their customers something that other companies can not. They are able to be at the top constantly moving ahead of the competition. Zutano has seen three times the sales and growth it saw five years previous.
